Coach McDermid is starting his fifth year coaching at Houston County.  He coached at Warner Robins for 1 year prior to coming over to Houston County..  Coach McDermid coached baseball at Windsor in 2006 and again in 2007 when they won a state championship.  He has been coaching travel ball in the middle GA area since 2007.  He began giving softball and baseball hitting lessons in 2004 after finishing school. He has had numerous players go on and play professionally, and at Division 1, and Division 2 schools.  He played baseball at Andrew College in 2001, and 2002.  He graduated from Walton High School in 2000.
